One constant in my ever evolving spiritual life is a yearly retreat at St. Paul of the Cross Passionist Retreat Center in Detroit. For fifteen of the last 18 years I have spent a weekend with men from my former parish and from other parishes in the Detroit area. No stranger to different kinds….
Thank you Faith, Fr. Pat, and Fr. Johnson! You have no idea how I walked in here on Friday, but know I gained strength walking out! I am confident I will find my new purpose in life with and for Christ!
Everyone at St. Paul’s does a top notch job of caring for each individual on retreat. The staff is friendly, accommodating, and a great example of God’s Love in action. The retreat house and grounds are kept beautifully, and it has excellent accommodations for both large and small group meetings. Thank you for aiding us in the education and spiritual development of our students!
I make my living putting on events. As with many things, quality, price and service are the measure of a facility. In all three, St. Paul’s excels. From concept to execution, there is an attitude of care and concern from St. Paul’s for my events. I would highly recommend St. Paul’s and would gladly speak with anyone about our experiences.
I began this weekend very troubled and with little desire to be here, but this weekend has reminded me that I am not alone and that God is good all the time. Thank you for all you do Faith, Fr. Pat, and Fr. Johnson! God bless you!
The St. Paul of the Cross Retreat & Conference Center was perfect for our retreat; the food was fantastic, the bedrooms had everything one would need; and the overall feel of the place was very welcoming and accommodating. The Chapel specifically was incredible in all of its details and really helped set the focus on God, which is what a retreat is all about! Overall St. Paul’s was fantastic and I feel like I have a home there. I look forward to the next time I get to return.
The ministry team, spiritual directors, maintenance, and kitchen staff were all supportive and welcoming. This weekend I learned to pause, breathe, and reflect during turbulent moments and have faith that the Lord will guide me on my journey.
