Serena has been receiving spiritual direction for over 10 years, and having someone walk with her in her spiritual life has been truly life-changing. She considers it a gift to be accompanied on her spiritual journey—and an equal gift to accompany someone on theirs. Spiritual direction, she believes, opens space for individuals to discover more deeply who God created them to be. As one grows in self-understanding, they also grow closer to God.
She is a mother of five adult children and a grandmother of seven. She and her husband enjoy traveling and spending time with their family.
