St. Paul of the Cross once said, “Love is Ingenious.” A whimsical, simple line, that carries an entire spirituality. Love is ingenious not because it is sentimental or sweet, but because it refuses to give up when ordinary ways fail. Love finds a window. Love finds another language. Love finds another way.
This retreat invites us to rediscover the ingenuity of love in the struggles we face today – our relationships, losses, divisions, loneliness; within ourselves, our families, church and world. Rooted in the Passionist charism and the wisdom of St. Paul of the Cross, we will explore how God’s love never runs out of imagination and how we too, are called to become signs of that inventive, healing, life-giving love.
